Uninspected illegal fruit or commodities from many areas (Central America, Hawaii, Europe, North Africa, Southeast Asia, etc.) can introduce exotic pests and diseases with devastating consequences.

Agricultural Enforcement Services is composed of the following diverse programs: Plant Quarantine & Pest Exclusion, Pest Detection & Pest Management, Nursery & Seed Inspection, Pierce's Disease Control Program, Produce Standardization & Certified Farmer's Markets, and Crop Statistics.
